Glass tube Rotameters are devices that used to measure the flow rate of fluids inside a tube. Glass tube rotameters consists of a tapered tube with a float inside it. The fluid flow drags the float up and the force of gravity pulls the float down. This measure of elevation translates to the fluids flow rate.
These devices do not require any external power source or fuel, they are very versatile and easy to use. They should be used in vertical position and the density of the fluid must always be less than that of the material the float is made of.
